Brief

Roadshow Entertainment engaged us to create a simple and effective microsite to help promote the release of the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy – Extended Edition on Blu-Ray.

Our task was simple. Incorporate a social media strategy and create an interactive and rich microsite to increase awareness of the product. We had a tight budget and a even tighter timeline, but we pulled through to deliver on time and within budget.

Solution

We wanted to take advantage of HTML5 and advanced CSS to create this innovative microsite. We stuck to our guns and decided to stay far away from flash.

We introduced a HTML5/CSS front-end and a WordPress backend CMS to manage the content on the site. We utilised YouTube API to host the videos and dynamically feed from the user account. We also developed an image uploader to allow users to upload images too.

With Google Analytics reporting incorporated we can produced detailed reporting on site users.
